Oh, yes. The big name spa at which I worked out-and-out lied about our pay from the get go. Then later, when one of the nail techs got MORE than she was supposed to, the spa wouldn't let her keep the overage as compensation for her underpayment, and fired her for keeping that as compensation for the double-talk about pay in the first place.
One of my tasks when I was at a telecom company was doing the data entry for any payroll "exceptions", eg, putting in sick codes, PTO codes (paid time off), etc. to keep this sort of problem to a minimum, and I reported to a Payroll Manager at the HQ. As it happened, there were two new hires who were NOT getting paid. I found that these two employees- hired within a particular timeframe- and ONLY these two- had a particular letter arrangement in their names. I asked my PayrollManager if that could be the problem. She said that if was anyone other than me, she wouldn't have believed it, but knowing that I was always very thorough, she had the programmers check this out. Well, it turned out that there WAS some screwy, microscopic little glitch in the software that bounced anyone- hired within a certain timeframe- AND who had this particular letter combination in their nam- out of the payroll loop. She couldn't believe it!
Programmers had patched the program for some other reason and messed up this module in the process. Don' 'cha just looooove "progress"?

At my current job it happened twice when i started, i called the economy HQ and their excuse was : you are new, our info and payments depending on which bank you have blah blah blah. Thankfuly i am a member with a union so ot took less than a day and i got the rest of the money. The second time they forgot almost half of my monthly salary, one call and it took them a whole week, i was mad AF. Now! I have a friend who is a lawyer and the next time they do a "mistake" my friend will make sire the company pays a penalty fee (3,8%) of my salary, it's a little amount but there hasn't been any mistakes dor the last 3 years 🤷♂️
Yes it happened more the once at my present job. Good thing I keep meticulous records. It took a couple of days but I got all my pay. Well except for this last fiasco in June. I think I may have to get the labor board involved after all.
Yes. They forgot to pay me my vacay pay which they promised. But they were gonna add it to my paycheck. I said he'll no, cause I'm not paying mortal than needed. Sorry sir.

Yes, I worked for a company that installed computers in department stores and banks. A lot of times we worked at night. The store managers would lock us in the stores at night. If you worked nights you were supposed to get a night differential. One of the owners was always trying to shortchange me. Hs would "forget" to give me the night differential. He hoped I would not notice..
After he did it to me three or four times I told him if it happened again I was quitting. So the very next week he does it again so I go into his office and told him I quit. He was all apologies and asked me to stay. I was sick of the job by then anyway so I told him to forget it.Pay the sasquatch feet or she will hit you all with her snow shovel 🤣🤣
Well usually i get paid on time every month miss brains muffins since i work in the government but when sometimes when i work in my other profession in my free time, i get paid directly, fix the machine and get paid CASH 😎💵 but if the customer wasn't able to pay directly, i can wait for a day or 2...
If i had a housewife, she will be free from financial stress cause she won't be working but STILL HAVE TO PAY ME, instead of money she will pay me MUFFINS and delicious meals and ofc 1,000,000 kisses, 999,000 of the kisses must be french kisses and ofc i accept other kinky services, no problem! If she makes the king fullfilled and happy than i'll be her driver for 1 week 😂😂 🚕💨Yep , you know what over the years I've been underpaid and overpaid , in fairness when legitimately underpaid , they always fixed it. The problem is , you tend to be underpaid in life when you are struggling for every $1 .
Overpaid , and you say " Hmmm nice.. Yo sure this ones correct " ?Yeah I’ve had a few employers jerk me around on my paycheck, doesn’t go over well.
Had one guy try stalling on reimbursing me for a bunch of expenses I put on my card while he was away, parked my ass at his desk and said I wasn’t leaving without the money in my hand. Got it 👍Years ago i had a job that did i raised hell i worked 16 hours for 3 days straight i was expecting the money i raised hell and emailed the whole chain from top manager to all of HR and i got it fixed finally then they did it again months later and i quit. One thing you don't do is play with my money but thar was the only job that did that and i still receive settlement checks from them always being sued lol
Wow. I'm glad they fixed it, bbb. It's a good thing they did. I hate to think of the shit storm consequences of fucking with a fierce, brainygirl who is in the right. LOL
Fortunately, that never happened to me.Never happens with self-employment... my only risk is the market dropping between my gold (generally gold, silver is too bulky to post and I've had very little in the PGM range) leaving me and meeting is firey end in the refinery furnace... last few times it's gone up in that time frame
Oh 100% especially around overtime worked, it's made me very cynical when it comes to making sure I've been paid the right amount... I mean technically they over paid me by 9 hours last month and I kept my mouth shut but hey it's the fact I don't play by my own rules that makes me so fascinating lol
A few times. It's one of the many reasons I choose to go self employed.. I never have a problem paying me what I'm owed any longer. :D
No, never. Maybe overpaid me sometimes during the pandemic, we were there but did not do much, due to the closures. I felt guilty getting full pay.
Yeah, and I don't let them try shit.
Don't fuck with my money.
👿👿Yeah. It took a ton of emails and calls to get the money back. I lost a ton of overtime and holiday pay during my transition to sup.
No I've ad only good experiences on that front so far ^^
Yes, indicon inc illegally withheld all my overtime pay.
Once when I worked for Tower Records they delayed my pay by a few days because the company changed payroll services. For me, it was no big deal. For others it was a big deal.
This has never happened to me but you did the right thing
listverse.com/.../ You go right on ahead and trust the government… I will trust my body to build immunity when I catch the Wu Flu that has a 99% recovery rate.
On a few occasions.
When I first hired on, the old woman who ran the payroll department had been there since the Truman administration (I'm not kidding). Customer service, never mind professional courtesy, was not a hallmark. Going to the payroll department was much like taking a trip to the dentist: not something to look forward to.
I was happy when the old gal finally retired. Payroll errors also sharply declined after she left. Two guys had done it to me before.
Both are dead now.
:D
Which wasn't my own doing of course; one was cancer, the other had some heart attack or so.
But life sometimes gives us justice, heh heh.I'm sure they have. I've always made my money through the stock market and such though, so I never worried too much about the dollar amount of my paycheck. I was working for health care benefits and such.
