What's the worst job you ever had?

I've had a number of shitty jobs, but the worst would have to be as a "manager" at Dollar Tree. They expected me to run the entire store alone. Unloading trucks, filling shelves, running register and balancing register at night all alone. I kept that job for one day.

Worked at a jewelry store, the job wasn't actually hard, the company and management were just really shitty (0 respect for their employees) and my boss was like genuinely awful to customers he didn't like behind their backs. Making rude comments and jokes, trying to sell to people who clearly shouldn't be buying. The morality of the whole thing was just off, was let go after a month (I gave them 5 weeks noticed that I wouldn't make it in for a holiday, they tried to hire someone behind my back and as soon as they started the new person they told me not to come back, no notice, didn't even let me finish out the hours I had scheduled). I was never so happy to leave a place.

Customers were kinda shitty too sometimes, dudes would come in buying for their mums or wives and try to hit on myself and my coworkers in the process. Very yucky. Never hit on a woman in a sales position.

i was 16 working over 30 hours to avoid my shitty parents at home. the manager sucked at scheduling, and treated everyone like shit. customers were disrespectful and the sexual harassment was abundant. it legit made me hate old men for a period there lol

My sister has worked in the food business for many years and my brother-in-law is a chef. I've heard horror stories. She finally got out of it but he's still doing it. He works his ass off.

The worst was also my first, still a teenager trying to make a bit extra cash. It involved cleaning a factory while the factory workers were on holiday and the production process was stopped. Cleaning up greasy stuff wasn't that bad at all, you just got your hands and clothes dirty and that was it.

The worst day was where we would have to enter a tunnel where we could barely advance laying down, crawl on our back all the way in and clean out dust on our way out. We were given a face mask, so we wouldn't choke. From time to time, someone came and shone a flashlight in the tunnel to see if we were OK. Claustrophobic is an understatement.

The worst job I've had also had the best pay, so, it wasn’t all bad. I was an escort for almost 2 years and as you can imagine, dealt with a variety of “interesting” people, and was usually treated very poorly.. but I was making around a grand per day for 2-3 hours work, hours were extremely flexible and sometimes I’d get amazing regular clients which made it worthwhile.

I used to work at an adult book store. This store had the private rooms in the back where men can go to watch a video and take care of their business well part of my job was cleaning those rooms after my first night I couldn't eat for 3 days.
