My high school teacher from 5 years ago said to question everything. Would you agree?

I used to avert from asking questions because they were looked down upon during elementary school. Now I see asking questions as an opportunity for growth and clarity. Other teachers say that there are no wrong questions. I believe there are questions that get answered by the wrong people or asking questions that are too personal for that person to make sense of the answer. What I mean is the factors like the place, time and the headspace contribute to the outcome of the answer.

questioning something, is not the same as doubting... nor being cynical or against it

for example... when you're told something is, this way... a good way to ask yourself, or question next is, why and how... it's about connecting dots and piling blocks... the more of it you have, the more of foundation and road that you will have

Absolutely. You don't have to verify statements people make about their own experiences, but you should verify everything else in some way or another, particularly today when people are making or repeating outrageous lies. You see a lot of it on this website -- absurd claims posing as questions. If they have no source, it's almost certainly complete BS.

Questioning everything could be right when it comes to some situations & in other situations questioning everything could backfire or make some things worse.

I always say if you have a question ask it within reason however other times you just have to know when to keep your mouth shut.

My own teachers told me the same, and until now I tend to question next to everything.
