So listen up depending on you age did you live up to your parents dreams as far as what they wanted or expected of you to become as an adult? Whether it was going to college, becoming an engineer being som kind of doctor maybe becoming a chef, or some other professional. Or maybe they just wanted you to take over a family business of some kind. However on the other hand did you grow up and become something that they never wanted for you. Or did you decide on your own to choose your own career path regardless of what your folks expected or hope for your future. Or did you just happen to grow up and realize life has passed you by and now you’re a bum? So tell us the truth

My truth: I exceeded my parents' expectations - but in a way that surprised them.

I was given plenty of stimulation to become who I am now. Anyhow, I became someone (as a person, and by profession) that both had not anticipated.

Fair enough: both of my parents never imprinted on me specific expectations other than following my instincts and talents to the best of what's possible or good for me.

And they left the decisions to me as soon as I was mature enough. Which was around being 17 in my own case.

Truth also is: without their tolerant approach I now would be a

That’s good shit. My parents didn’t put no pressure on me either. Except when I got a paper route when I was 11 I kept it for about 1&1/2 years and when I wanted to quit for no reason my dad made me feel guilty. I don’t know why.
I ended up making it so I got fired.😁
