So recently at work my assistant manager got demoted from her position because she was basically being lazy and not doing any work.
She would often walk out mid shift and be gone for an hour or more or less depending on the time, wasn’t very interactive with the staff and left a lot of the manger work to my main manger who got fed up.
That and she was kind of annoying, I work a sales job so opportunities to make more money is everything. A few months back they introduced a way for my department to make some extra cash by brining in customers that have already brought our product to buy again.
For some of us like me this was great cause I was really good with these customers as opposed to my co worker who was great with phone customers, but I guess they didn’t have anything for my ex-manager to do after her demotion so instead they decided to scrap the whole bonus program they had for us and make her handled that strictly.
Even though they have been trying to push for us to bring these customers in across the board in all departments. They even made us do a whole training program a month or so ago for it but apparently their reasoning was because we get enough opportunity from phone customers already.
Sounds like a bunch of hoopla to me, what’s worse is we can’t even call these customers anymore when even before they started the program we were allowed to call these customers so not only did we get a pay cut we lost a whole customer’s base to reach out to cause she didn’t want to do any work while she was here smh.
Anyway I just wanted to vent I’m upset but I took this job cause I didn’t want to be to get to comfortable guess that’s what I’m getting man that bonus pay was the difference between getting an extra 1500-2000$ a month vs just 1200$ though that’s really annoying unreasonable.

It's understandable to feel frustrated in situations like this. Changes in workplace dynamics can be challenging, especially when they impact financial incentives and communication channels you've grown accustomed to. From my experience, I'd suggest addressing your concerns constructively with management, possibly proposing alternative solutions or other incentive programs that could benefit the team. Staying proactive and adaptable in your role can sometimes open new opportunities, even in tough situations. Remember to keep your focus on long-term career goals and work towards developing skills that can benefit you in future roles as well.
