Do you read reviews?

Before going to a place you’ve never been to before (i. e. a restaurant, store, etc), do you take the time to read reviews? And if so, do those reviews influence your decision? For me, I’ll sometimes read reviews, sometimes not. If it’s mostly negative reviews, I’ll sometimes still go, just to see for myself.
