How long does it take you to make a final decision?

I tend to take however long I have


If my final decision is expected within a minute then I will give it


If I have a day I will take a day


One thing that helps me make the big decisions is moving.
If for example I am asked something in a room. Just going into another room and back helps me snap my mind into focus and consider what I’m about to say


Although I’m the first to admit that not all my decisions are smash hits


Still I make them without flinching

It is hard for me to say because I let a lot of decisions sit for a while. Most things don't need immediate decision excepting when apply the break whilst driving.

I never make any decision when feeling angry or other strong emotion and I am a bit contemptuous of people who do. In fact "I don't need to decide now" is part of my decision making to resist that impulse. Most often you don't need to make any decision

Somehow we can make decisions on the back burner. Don't how that works but it does for me and I have some of my best ideas that way.

It all depends on on the decision I have to make I just bought my little girl a new car last week I wasn’t sure if the car she wanted was the right car for her when she told me what car she wanted but after looking at it, seeing her test driving it and thinking a little more about it I ended up getting it for her. So it only took me the morning and part of the afternoon to make that decision. That was the only big decision I made so quickly. When I bought my house, it took me about three weeks to decide that. So it totally depends on what you need decide. The bigger the commitment the longer you should think about it.

It depends. But I'm not one to waste time wallowing in analysis paralysis. I will weigh the alternatives and the risks then make a decision. 80% of perfect is better than 100% of nothing. The world won't end. And I can correct course if needed. It has been said... "A battle plan never survives first contact with the enemy". Learn to be comfortable in chaos. I'm pretty indecisive honestly. Whether it's a vacation destination, food from the menu, picking a movie to watch, or a path to take in life, I take forever to choose and then even when I choose, half the time I end up regretting it or going back on my decision.

I've learned to take the right amount of time to make a decision. In fact, making a decision quickly is often best because you can change it later if needed. Procrastinating on a decision usually is not good. By the time you make a decision, you're stuck with it, even if it turns out bad.

For major purchases I do research and am not in a hurry.
I built a 383 stroker engine for one of my cars, and it took a few months to figure out what i wanted to use.
It turned out way better than I expected.
It pays to be thorough.
