My cousin works for the government as an engineering auditor and she also has a side business with a female friend, that might generate around $600,000 a year in profit after all bills are paid. She said the reason she has not quit her government job yet is she wants to use her government connections to help her children find jobs when they graduate college. She does make around $120,000 a year from her government job, but her business generates around 4 times more income than her government job.
