It depends how much you spend on rent, food, transport to and from work... Some cities and countries are much more expensive than others. In the end, it's not what you earn per year, it's what you can put aside at the end of the year that counts.

An example: wages in Spain are good to average (with a few exceptions), but the cost of living is not that high either. If you compare it to Switzerland, where wages can be 2 or 2.5 times higher, you pay 3 times more towards rent, food etc.

Many factors go into average income age is just one. Where do you live? What country? What state of US? city or rural? What is the cost of living? Those all affect average income.. I'm my area of the US. Average income is about 70k per year. Tennessee is about 51k. Phillipines 18k USD... So it makes a difference

I don't know what other 20-year-olds earn. About half are in college. As a reference, Amazon pays a minimum of $22/hour plus benefits for entry level work in a warehouse. Here in Seattle, the minimum wage is $21/hour.

Non-college graduate, since you're 20, and in a state where minimum wage is still like 7.25? 45K/52/40=21.63 per hour. I find your story difficult to believe.
