What major life decisions have been the most difficult for you?

Deciding to live with a severely mentally ill friend that turns unempathetic, frightening and just plain rude when minor inconveniences hits. I only found out about the later part on the first day of living together at our new place.

I changed careers later in life. It was a pretty big gamble. i had to spend money to go back to school and I did not know if anyone would hire somebody who was almost 40 into an entry level position.

I watched a video the other day that said virtually everyone starts over at some point it life.
Just curious, what did you go back to school for?

@ChiTown33 I ment back to college and got a degree in Computer Science. I got into the IT field as a netowrk administrstor.

How long did that take you? I got a friend who did that. But he kind of drug his feet.

@ChiTown33 I went part time at night while I worked full time for 2 years. Then when the company i worked for went out of business I collected unemployment for a year while I was able to finish..
I could have just went to a quickie cerificate program but I thought a full blown Masters degree would carry a lot more weight.

@ChiTown33 Yes, it took me a couple of months before I found a job. I went on a bunch of interviews but no luck and my unemployment ran out so I applied at Circuit City. I was going to be the guy that would carry your TV out to your car. I was supposed to start next Monday but fortunately a company where I interviewed called me and said that wanted to hire me.

The hardest decisions were the ones that forced me to grow.

Letting go of people I cared about, choosing my own path even when it wasn’t the expected one, and learning to prioritize my peace over familiarity.

Those choices were uncomfortable, but they shaped me more than any easy moment ever did.

Thankfully none, I don't overthink decisions. I just do what is best or what needs to be done.

Accepting I have depression and PTSD because life has been challenging and cruel to me. I’m much better now but when I realised when I have it the first time it was hella overwhelming.
