Why is it that often when I write something and copy and paste it goes to the next line, and I can't eliminate the space (gap at the end of the line)?

Even copying and pasting to MS Word, the gap is still retained. The only way to eliminate the gap at the end of the first line is retype all the words.

GAG removed the gap after I hit post. This was the original:

When I copy and paste something from something like AI, which tends to have very strange spacing a lot of the time, I sometimes paste it into Google docs, then "paste as plain text" and/or remove the format in Google docs. That usually fixes any spacing issues.

Throw the text into Notepad (if you are on Windows) and save it there, that gets rid of these control characters. To show them in Word, you can use the „Show/Hide ¶“ button.
