You won’t know if the job is yours until it’s yours. I say this because I’ve seen people close to me in situations where it seemed like they got the position without a doubt, even being encouraged to apply because it was basically assured to them. Yet in the end they didn’t get it. I’ve been in my own situation where I didn’t think I’d be offered the job but I was. You just don’t know. If you really want the position then all you can do for now is be optimistic about it and then follow up like Tuesday or Wednesday.
