I learn best by actually doing than I do with listening or seeing, but of those two, I learn better with seeing i suppose.

I have aphantasia so I can't picture images in my head, so listening is basically useless since I can't imagine what it is they are talking about.

I learn best when I do see something because the images mean more to me that plain speech.

I believe that a great majority of people can retain something better if they see something than if they hear it.

When I go shopping, it is easier for me to remember the picture of a product than to speak out the name of it because I can associate that picture with a specific product or brand rather than if someone tells me to buy "a can of peas and carrots".

That is how I perceive the entire situation and it does work for me.

I learn best when someone makes me feel like its important to learn... I have realized we can't trust what we see or hear half the time, and i question why and what is important to learn...

I have learned a lot in this life and forgotten even more... Only thing that I know for sure is there is always more to know. Seeing and hearing are just 2 of the most obvious ways of learning.

Doing it in real life is what makes it so things aren't forgotten once we do learn.

Although people often think they are certain types of learners. The research is clear. Preference for certain types of learning doesn't result in higher results. So despite people's idea that they are better at learning by a certain method when tested. What gets the best results is multi factor learning which means visual audio with narratives.

I am learning French and I learn much more quickly when I listen and see the written words. In a similar situation, when I hear someone's name, even if it's foreign, I won't know how to pronounce it until I know how they spell it.
