What's a snow day?

I literally grew up in a world that had snow days for majority of my student life then ended as they were fading out snow days.

A teacher gave me a booklet to do if we had the day off, teachers after that were putting in place lessons online (Chromebook) that would appear even if we didn’t have class wtf?

Snow days are a childhood right of passage, the world is a cruel and unforgiving place with people losing compassion for the little guy everyday, they have their whole life to be disappointed, sad, you name it, so please let them have snow days.

Snow days are glorious, don’t take it away.
If you want extra bonus points, give them an extra curricular assignment that has to do with snowmen construction or favorite holiday/winter movie that is best coupled with hot chocolate, what activities did you do on your snow day?
Like anything to prevent children in general from missing out on their snow day.

P. S. Snow days cut away Spring Break / Family Vacation Time, give them the snow day off because they should enjoy themselves while they’re still young, appreciative, joy in their hearts, and overflowing with creativity.

@DrPepper12 I’d be a total monster not to defend a student’s right, a child’s right to snow days.
People don’t believe in “handouts” or “hand holding”, but it is offset by the lack of spring vacation days, so it is their God given right as Americans to have that day off.

We didn't have snow day in my day. You walked to school in the blizzard bringing coal for the school fire.

online instruction is a way to get in 180 days. It is really a joke. The reality is that teachers get a day off and do not have to make it up at the end of the year.
