Back in the early 80's, before internet was my domain of fun, My family had an Ecyclopedia Britannica collection with it's own book shelf. I'm just remembering what it was like to literally have nothing else to do than to read for fun.

Ah thesaurus. Remember back when the opposite of man was woman and the opposite of boy was girl? Now the woke forced them to corrupt online thesaurus! No more antonym for man but woke didn't think of boy. not yet deleted save a screenshot while you can.

But it keeps changing the presentation and even POV of many of its topics "entries", so it doesn't count as a real encyclopedia. In fact encyclopedia articles were written by history experts so "non experts making changes would be stupid" in contrast to hive mind wiki, the fact anyone can do edit wars proved no doubt: it was not written by any expert. So anyone can "fix" it.
