Is this job worth applying for?

My local fair is looking for people. The last couple years I wanted to apply, but always ended up going somewhere. It's only for 5 days, and it's like a 30 minute drive one way from my house. I'll only make like $675, which is practically nothing. The most it'll do is give me some more work experience to add to my resume. I also already re-applied to my old job, so if I get THAT one back, then I'll have to pass on this one. If I made at least $1000, I wouldn't think twice, but only $675 for 5 days of work and such a long back-and-forth commute doesn't seem worth it, to be honest.

Take any job… keep looking for other jobs.
I have never not work in my life since I started working at 11-12 years old.

take it to remind your self you can get something better soon…. take it so you can get out and socialize a bit.

America spoiled or enable the kids. Teens from 12-18 are wasted when they can do so much!!
As a teacher and mother of 2 teens… I am annoy with this.
We traveled to Europe, kids 14-15 can travel alone on a train to other countries to get jobs. Or study…
My son wanted to work since 15, but not allow to drive.

Me? I love working … I got around at that age and took any job I found….
I will be retiring from teaching soon… and already planned out my next career.
My brother did say to me once that my head is too big for my shoulders lol.

LOL! My family is from Europe, and WE spoil our kids. She thinks even 16 and 18 is too early to start working, and they should be in SCHOOL
I don't necessarily think they're wasted. How can you do nothing but work your whole life?
Maybe for temporary summer jobs, and maybe northern Europeans, because southern and eastern Europeans definitely DON'T
He actually WANTED to work? How WANTS to work, especially at THAT age?

Something that pays decent and I don't have to work too hard and can get a lot of time off.

I don’t mean like full time jobs… but to volunteer in hospitals, senior centers. To work in gardens to pull weed after school, to participate in sports events, to help out in day cares or in a library.
Kids here goes home and have no responsibilities.

My son wants to work as like being a tutor, go to the gym, or shadow an electrician… to be productive…. Vs just go home and do homework.

My kids make their own meals and have responsibilities at home.. we are already teaching them how to invest … so they will be fine..
Our society, government can help teens set up more social engagement with elderly to learn from them.

My son is in track after school still have plenty of free time in hands.

My daughter is in college and has a part time job as a tutor.

We just want to be more productive. We do play a lot too… we travel every summer for 6-8 weeks. They learn another language and are doing well in school.

Asians work for FREE? I've only seen WHITE people in this country work for free. We had to volunteer for a school project. This black guy said he never worked for free in his life. An Asian guy was saying they should pay their workers. And Dutch-Asian guy I met was also shaking his head saying he would never work for free. In my town there's a Chinese Temple, and it's run by White people, because no Asian will work for free. I volunteered there myself. I had an Asian co-worker. He had never worked another job and wanted a high position.
I am SHOCKED to hear this, because in the U. S. only WHITE people are dumb enough to work for free.

Of course, they're KIDS. They USED to, but maybe not anymore.
Responsibilities are fine, but you need a break from work and studies. I saw a documentary on Taiwan, and it's CRAZY! They study like 7 days a week for 18 hours or something. They go to school in the morning, then go to a specialty school in the evening.

Yeah, "productive". Boredom will certainly motivate you. But I think most people if they had the option to live their dream life without having to work would take it. Maybe not your kids. lol

Unfortunately I have to admit… I am 1/2, 1/2.
At this point… I don’t follow their rules… since they can’t fire me (union) I can close my door and do what I want. So… when they come watch me… (they do often… to make sure we are sheeps).
Now… I just teach kids to do the basic (reading, writing, math) … take the test and learn to play with others… they are only 5-6 years old.
I am it teaching woke nonsense… we as a grade (6-8 teachers) threw out all the gay, LBQGXYZ nonsense books…
I am old school and family structures, discipline and responsibilities are most important..
such… on… not allow to take points away… doesn’t work with kids.
Those are idoliots… yes I take pints away and yes there are consequences.

I am not your typical Asian… I came to the US at 10 years old.

I at this point of my life… donate money to others.
Work for free… we do… I think you are talking about different kind of Asian… like it sister 😂
