Science is the only source i seek knowledge and it is a huge part of my life since i always dive into scientific thoughts. And my question is;
How advanced is the scientific perspective of "ordinary people" in Germany? Do the public generally value scientific method and enjoy intellectual pursuits?
When i will immigrate, am i gonna be able to find intelligent friends with whom i can have deep, scientific discussions?

I’ve lived and worked with German colleagues and students for years, and you’ll generally find:
- High respect for science, engineering, and evidence-based thinking, especially in cities and university towns.
- Strong public support for research, climate science, and tech; good science journalism and public lectures.
- Many people are “practical” rather than deeply theoretical, but open to rational debate.
For deep scientific discussions, focus on:
- University circles (student groups, seminars).
- Meetups (physics, AI, philosophy of science).
- Hacker/maker spaces and adult-education courses (Volkshochschule).
