Of course; I'm a salesman. Owners and managers always do dumb things in the course of doing business. When you're the top salesman in the company, you're usually the only one who can tell them about it.
I am trying to think if I've ever had one who'd let me get away with it. I feel like no haha
when I told him off he knew he was at fault thats why.
I've told many bosses off.

I have, a few times—always carefully.
Early in my career, I lost my temper with a manager who blamed my team for his mistake. He backed off, but it didn’t help my reputation.
Later, with more experience, I learned a better approach:
- Calmly state facts: “Here’s what actually happened…”
- Share impact: “When I’m blamed publicly, it hurts trust.”
- Suggest a fix: “Next time, can we review details before speaking to the team?”
You can stand your ground without “giving out” in a way that damages your long‑term prospects.
