Leave. It's to be expected. Some employers have paranoid delusions that everyone who gives notice is gonna resort to sabotage somehow. So they walk you to the door immediately. The truth is if I were gonna do anything nefarious, it would already be done long before I gave notice.

And that's why I say giving notice is stupid and most times useless. I've never seen anyone put together a transition plan let alone execute any meaningful transition of work or duties in that 2 week window. Mostly it's just sitting around doing nothing while everyone around you tries to avoid absorbing more work, LOL.

This happened to a friend of mine. She quit on a Friday morning and they fired her in the afternoon. She filed a complaint with the government labor board and her former employer was forced to pay her 3 weeks pay. Two weeks required for her notice and an extra week for her time of employment. She already had a job lined up with a competitor and started on the Monday after she quit collecting 3 weeks bonus pay in the process. It's a really dumb business decision to fire someone who quit.

It's not an uncommon practice! In some jobs once an employer knows your leaving they are afraid if you stay the two weeks you would either steal sensitive material of destroy important docs. I own a restaurant and in that business it is common to get the notice, but seldom would the employer dismiss you early without cause.
