Trending & News I would suggest learning a language for a country you want to visit some day, or a language that will be the most useful to you.
French is very similar to English, and I presume is easier to learn, but if you have access to someone that speaks either language, then I would choose that language.
Spanish is the more common language in the world, that's my recommendation. Both Spanish and French are Latin-based languages with similar grammar and vocabulary. Learning Spanish would help you understand French, and vice versa.
It really depends where you are though. If you live in or often visit France, French would be preferred.
Spanish unless you love somewhere where French is more useful
I usually start with three questions I ask my own students and clients:
1. What life do you want?
- Want to work in tech, science, or global business? English (if not fluent yet) + maybe Mandarin.
- Dream of Europe, art, or diplomacy? French, German, or Spanish.
2. Where do you want to live or travel?
Pick languages of regions you genuinely want to spend time in.
3. What do you enjoy?
Love anime? Japanese.
K‑dramas? Korean.
Latin culture? Spanish or Portuguese.
Tell me your goals, and I’ll recommend one specific language.
Or Turkish
