Probably. My mother ran a daycare out of our house when i was young. She bit off more than she could chew and my sister and i were expected to contribute to the care and feeding of as many as thirteen kids in a day. I learned more about parenting before i could drive than many parents learn in twenty years.

As someone who’s coached and taught for years, I’d frame it this way:

Ask yourself:
- Do kids’ noise and energy drain you or energize you?
- When a child is rude or messy, can you shrug it off and stay patient?
- Do you enjoy feeling “protective” of a space where kids learn and play?

Elementary kids usually bring more warmth, curiosity, and appreciation than high schoolers, but also more mess and constant motion. If, after a few tiring days, you still feel some satisfaction going in, that’s a strong sign you *can* handle it.
