Anyone else feeling completely crushed by finances right now?

been through some periods of unemployment before where money was tight but not anything like it is now , its like you get crushed financially on all angles ( gas , food , groceries , credit card bills ) and literally have nothing left to give

can recall in the past went through periods of little to no income but managed to get through it ok but this is way worse and not what i experienced before

even tried to sell some stuff online only for every potential sale to fall through , had a guy interested in some used golf balls but he wanted me to drive way to far to deliver and then he never wrote back

weekend wasn't much better , gas prices insane here , out fri/sat but didn't go out today at all , went to subway sat for sub of the day which comes to $9 with tax, haven't sold anything online all weekend , no idea what week will bring but don't think it be much better

Nope. I sit comfortably outside of and immune to this "Conservative" economy. My electric bill runs about $800/mo right now. Less after I shut down the pool. Gas is $4.00/ gal. I couldn't care less. I just bought a new car on a whim last Saturday. I'm turning away manufacturing clients as the reality of tRump's economy hits home for a lot of dirtbag midsize business owners. Grocery prices? Not even a blip on my radar. I'm basically getting paid by a bank to live in a 4,200 sq ft house. I'm using their money at 3% for 40 years and earning roughly 20% a year on that cash. P&I $1,500/mo. Earnings on the borrowed cash about $6,700/mo. Net profit/mo about $5,200/mo tax deferred. After property taxes, that's a $50K profit.

For those of you who voted for tRump or didn't vote at all, I have zero sympathy, zero empathy, and zero pity. Grow a brain or wallow in misery. I don't care about you if you don't care about yourself. I didn't make these rules. You did.

our real estate prices are crazy here is a lot of million dollar homes for sale but no buyers seem to be emerging , also a lot of condo's a couple big projects here were started when prices way better now there stuck with units too pricey and with few buyers.

i actually live in Canada , a land where everyone seems to hate trump but our own liberal government has done little to make life more affordable. they came up with this grocery rebate but it just replaces an existing tax rebate lower income people got , before it was like $85 every 3 months now its $110 every 3 months for singles ( more if you have kids ) , is that really paying anyones grecery bill? its barely $30 extra dollars a month , what can i even buy with that?

like is this a joke? like who though this would solve anyones financial problems? and the people who came up with this are making 6 figures its not like they've ever had to worry about paying for groceries

No, My wife and I had lunch at a new restaurant yesterday, The bill was not too bad. We have to replace some stuff. I bought a new riding lawnmower and my wife bought a new stove. I need a new laptop too, My laptop is 5 years old and needs a new battery and keyboard, I do not want to put any money into a old lptop. Laptops are a lot more expensive than they were 5 years ago.

oddly last year i got sent a new cell phone for free by my cell company as my old one got kicked off there network so they sent me this new one for free to replace it , one small victory i guess as i could not of afforded a new one

Nah. The last time money was an issue for me was around 2008, but it didn't last long. I just found a better job. Easy fix if you have the skills.

i've even been using coupons for most fast food places ( subway , wendy's , mcdonalds , popeyes ) so not paying regular prices and even that isn't making enough of a difference to save me financially

i actually live in Canada its tough here rate now with the trade war and my area is really seasonal so few jobs fall > winter even at best of times but this is not the best of times

i find the coupons at the post office , people throw them out into a recycling box and i grab extra ones for places i go to a lot

some of the chains don't mail to my address which is why i check the post office recycling , was burger king coupons too
