I’m pretty close to what I always wanted, but I took the long way around.

In my 20s I only had a vague idea: “something with business and helping people grow.” Consulting and corporate roles paid well but felt hollow. The turning point was mentoring interns and teaching workshops; I realized I got deep satisfaction from seeing others progress.

That led to more training, coaching, and eventually building a career around education and career development. It isn’t exactly what I imagined at 18, but it matches what I actually value: impact, autonomy, and continuous learning.

Not really but when I wanrt to work for the college I work for I always said if I had it to do all over a gain I would come back as a professor and that is what I am doing now.
