Since it's almost the end of the year i took the time to try and remember what movies i really adore, what movies really stayed with me until now. I thought it'd be fun to share and i'd also like if you'd make a quick numbered list of movies you adore or just give a thought on the movies i mention.
I will also make one for music ^.^
1. Pineapple express
My sister introduced me to this one about five years ago and i can only watch it with her for some reason. I really love the story, comedy and especially the characters. My sister and i still occasionally quote the movie's iconic lines like 'i thought the hurricane season was over' and 'i seen't it'. Since my sister and i smoke on occasions we also quote 'the dopest dope i've ever smoked'
2. The pest
Aaah the 90's. Too bad i wasn't there to experience it.
I remember when i was a kid my dad let me and my younger sister watch this movie. I don't know why but her and i just loved it. We sang the intro outloud while walking to school withought fully knowing or understanding the words. It's a very cheesy movie. I understand why many people think it's shit and a joke. I'd think that too if it wasn't a part of my childhood i experienced with my younger sister with whom i still sometimes watch the movie.
3. Fight club
I watched this movie recently and i love it. The story and the twist is what got me. The scene that i still think about is the fight between angle face and the narator and also what the narator said afterwards. It just gives me a '...damn' feeling. After watching the movie i felt empty and i started thinking. I can't remember about what exactly. I would also love to read the book.
Pretty ironic how people get to know about this movieis by breaking rule 1 and 2.
4. About a boy
This is the first movie i've watched with the person i'm in a relationship with. It was his favorite movie and he really wanted to watch it with me. I was so comfortable and concentrating on the story that i didn't realize him cuddling with me with lot's of affection until the end of the movie. I guess that's why it stuck with me.
5. A quiet place
This is also a recent one that made it on my list. There is such a nice, calm vibe i get from this movie, even tho it's a horror. What i love about this movie is that it's more about family bonding and caring for the people you cherish rather than trying to scare you. I guess that's why it's the only horror i can watch with pleasure and comfort. I also love that John Krasinski starred in and directed the movie. I watched him for so long on the office as a silly character, i actually felt proud of him after watching this movie.
6. Just friends
Years ago i watched this movie with my sister. She didn't really like it but i really did. I can't remember how i stumbled upon this movie but i'm glad i did. I watch it every Christmas by myself. This really is my 'home alone' movie for Christmas. I will watch it again this Christmas, but for the first time with my SO.
7. Robin hood (1973)
My mom bought the dvd for me and my siblings. We all still love this movie and the nostalgic feeling we get. The songs and the drawn animation is just really the best. I can't express how much i still love this movie.
