Is it weird for guys to post selfies on Instagram?

Instagram has become a phenomenon with easy access photo sharing and business promotion. While women posting selfies is the norm, I have heard from friends and ither outside sources that guys should refrain from doing such things because it makes them look dumb. What are your thoughts with men posting selfies?

I have always felt, regardless of what others think, that if a woman can do it, why not a man. We live in a society where "women are equal" to men. That would include this. I just wouldn't dance with a guy like the women do. You are a good looking man, why not?

I'm with @BertMacklinFBI 2 sides and underlining the gay part... I don't even know why people do selfies... I mean You can make a photo of You and put it on but not like EVERY single day like WTF? So I also think it has 2 sides...

Like, it depends. If you're taking a selfie in a dressing room at a store, that'd be weird for a guy. But like, it it's you at a vacation spot and stuff, that's like normal. :)

One of those people is me who believe they become weird when they start to post too many cause it seems they are narcissist and self absorbed.

I think it’s very strange for a man to post a selfie. I don’t know why. It feels normal for a girl to do it but when a guy does it it just feels wrong. Is it because guys aren’t supposed to care about their looks as much? Or is it attention seeking? Feminine?

Haha I just noticed for the first time --- after 20-something years --- that the mirror he's using is actually the underside of a pan! xD Or maybe I did notice it before, but forgot; haha! Either way, it's pretty funny. ^_^
