Anime related topic: How do I deal with weebs?

I'm just very annoyed at the moment, I don't know like I have this friend on Instagram who basically is nice but at the same time can be really annoying. I rememeber once he insulted me for watching anime then a week later he got into it? I'm just confused. And whenever I post something that's anime-related (or KPOP) he screenshots them and reposts. Like... I don't get it. I know I don't own these pictures, but still it can be a bit frustrating and rude and he tries so hard to act Japanese (I don't, I only like the anime and I respect the culture)

how do I deal with it and not get frustrated whenever I see him, don't tell me to block him lmao it's a bit too far to do that

The problem doesn't seem to be that he's a weeb - which is its own problem - but the way he acts towards you, right? Like if he had his weird little orientalist fantasies about japan in private it woudn't be an issue :P it's the 'tagging on', which is a problem weeb or no... Just tell him to get lost! Or, like, in a nicer way, tell him you'd like some distance or whatever. It sounds like he's probably peer-bonding in some dysfunctional way, rather than like, attempting to deliberately harass you?

Is he a good friend, otherwise? Why don't you want to block him?

You see, he's friends with people that I know, and they don't watch anime
And let's say if I block him, they'd find out and think it would be stupid to block your friends over a Japanese animation

Tiabell, you're getting yourself confused here. The guy was never an otaku, he's new to the anime thing and I said in the first paragraph is that he used to insult me for watching anime and now he's getting into it and acting like he knows everything about it when he doesn't. That's why it's annoying.

It's like you're obsessed with a band for example and you've known them for a long and then someone you know personally comes along and acts like they know everything about them WHEN THEY BARELY DO, AND ONLY KNOW THEIR ONE SONG WHICH IS COMMON
