What are you thoughts on this very close celebrity mother-son bonding relationship between Sofia Vergara and her son, Manolo?

There was an interview where Sofia stated that her reasoning of why she hasn't moved in with any of her last ex-boyfriends during Manolo's childhood after she divorced from her first husband (biological father of Manolo) up until her current relationship with Joe Manganiello, was mainly to protect her son from emotional confusion or possible abuse. Then she found her true love in Joe Manganiello and moved in with him and now, Manganiello is her current husband and step-father to her son, Manolo.

A study of 156 victims of child sexual abuse found that the majority of the children came from disrupted or single-parent homes; only 31 percent of the children lived with both biological parents. Although stepfamilies make up only about 10 percent of all families, 27 percent of the abused children lived with either a stepfather or the mother's boyfriend.
