Guys, Teasing your girlfriend about farting? I'm so embarrassed lol?

I have a habit of being really shy and secretive about my farts lol. My boyfriend knows this and he finds it really funny because we've been living together for 2 years and he thinks I should be over this hurdle by now. Well a few days ago I felt the need to pass gas and I didn't want him hearing it so I said I was grabbing something from downstairs and would be right back. When I was finally alone downstairs I farted but when I opened the door to exit my boyfriend was standing there with a stupid grin on his face. He was like "Was that a fart?" I was like "Shut up, Jordan," with a laugh because I was obviously super embarrassed that he heard me fart for the first time. He looked super amused and was like "So when you say you're grabbing water you're actually just farting in secret?" We both died laughing at that point and I was like "You weren't supposed to hear that! Why did you come after me?" We really couldn't stop laughing for at least a couple of minutes because he had caught me doing something I had intended on doing in private! :P I just covered my face in my hands and got really pink but he hugged me and said not to worry about it. That he actually found it cute that I was so embarrassed about a natural bodily function. But ever since he heard it he's been teasing me nonstop and makes me feel embarrassed all over again. How can I get over the embarrassing side of this? Thanks guys!

Some of us grow up with a family that does everything they can to deny humans fart. Some of us grow up with a family that farts whenever they have to and don't think anything of it. Finally, some of us grow up with a family that finds farts totally hilarious. Sometimes our upbringing doesn't have an effect on our ''fart attitude'' but either way, EVERY human does it. Not sure if society is to blame or what but you should not be embarrassed in any way when you have to pass gas. It is VERY unhealthy to hold them in, I am happy your boyfriend reacted in a very supportive way. Most (real) men can't wait for our GF/wives to pass gas whenever needed because it is a natural, healthy, human thing. Last thing I want is for her to hold them in and get a tummy ache or worse. When you find the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, being able to be human with each other is a very important thing. It proves you're not only loved, but accepted for who you are. :)

When your comfortable in a relationship, you tend to relax more and then it goes from farting in front of each other to using the bathroom. It's not a big deal unless you make it one.
