Discord is better then Skype for sure, i used to like Skype more for the personal chats and discord for the group chats but lately Skype has been completely messed up. I do like riot a lot to, riot is more like IRC and fits my usual needs more. But i do use discord from time to time and have literally used it today.

My boyfriend uses Discord and told me Skype is a lot heavier, so I should change to Discord as well. The only time I really use Skype is when me and my sister are playing ESO. Probably would be beneficial to change to a lighter program.

Discord is amazing. It has group chat servers with different bots for mini games and commands, as well as DMs and voice channels. It's quite easy to use and has a nice interface as well.
