Cartoon style is quite similar. The Scotsman (Samurai Jack) and Abraham Kane (Motorcity) Peter Griffin looks like a fusion between Hank Hill and Homer Simpson Heck, even anime characters look similar Murakumo (Blue Seed) and Tobias (Pokemon) Arnold from Hey Arnold has a similar shaped head
