Your dog is a Shih-Tzu, which is pronounced "Shit-zoo." So yeah, most dog lovers refer to them as turds. Your boyfriend is probably just trying to be funny, making a joke about the breed.

  Seriously though, Shih-Tzus are lovely dogs, and so well-mannered when they're trained. Yours looks really adorable. I had a black and white one when I was a kid.

  I thought you would have said muffin. Lol. Little dogs are cute but we need a good watch dog so we always had medium size dogs. All my dogs weighed around 60 lbs.
