Why are white criminals/druggies or “bad” characters always dressed like this in shows and movies?

Not all men who dress like that are "Bad" some of them have hearts of gold and are just down on their luck in life or just don't really care for foppish displays of ensemble. Some people display this look as villainous or dreg of society etc. In t. v. Dramas or movies because it screams poverty and crime and danger. But, it's NOT always accurate as I have personally found out.

I know they’re all dressed differently but it just seems like every time there’s that type of character who’s white they all dress similarly like they all basically have the same types of clothing which consists of leather or denim jackets, some kind of flannel or hoodie, like a worn in jean or cargo pants and some kind of boot or skate shoe. I don't know maybe it’s just me but I feel like they all kinda dress the same in a way
