Why do shows and movies race-swap characters for no reason?
Why does so-called race matter? I just want to watch the show. I am not worried about what somebody's so-called race is. If it fits the story if the plot makes sense. If the change helps flesh out the story. I don't care. As long as nobody is dumping that woke culture and political nonsense. As long as nobody is trying to force homosexual acts that aren't of the story in general in there. As long as nobody is disrespecting religion or anything on there. I just want to watch the movies, shows or cartoons. What do you people have to ruin it? You are not the scriptwriting, the storyteller, director, or planner. People have the right to create originals in unique ways. You don't always have to like it.
But as long as you like the shows and movies why does it matter? I see nothing wrong with either or. Often times they do it for the ratings and to generate a certain audience. That is how it goes. Back then many of that area would have liked it. Now in today's society, more people want to see "diversity" regarding characters. While everything was practically "white" actors or cartoon characters, I understand they want to give other people with skin tones a chance. Though I have always been originals are usually the best. But sometimes, looking at other shows could be interesting too. Again, I just want to watch my shows and movies in peace.

I’m film it’s literally completely normal for them to be adapted over the years. The character was never “race swapped” the character in the new version just has a different character design and there’s nothing wrong with that.
Its forced diversity. Its somehow ok when they turn white characters black, but they throw a hissy fit if you turn a black character white, or even cosplay as a black character... Your not the onlyone seeing this. I was royaly pissed when they turned Annie black.

Ah yes amber is a pain in the ass. Not because she's black but simply because she got a bitchy attitude. As for why they switch it, its due to politics really.

It's a form of cultural appropriation, but really it's people taking advantage of art that was likely created by white guys.
They take superman and just make him black rather than making an original black character. -

They say is is diversity but really they do it to cause division. I want no part of that version of "MJ" or any of the new Spider-Man movies. They are a joke and I always loved Spider-Man too before this.

Trying to make everyone happy I guess but it kind of screws up the whole movie fantasy for regular viewers, they do it on tv shows with other actors playing the same part so it starts to lose the thrill of the series as being real
