What is the best and the worst Star Wars movie?

Most people are going to say either A New Hope or The Empire Strikes Back is the best; I agree, voting for the former. Pretty much everyone's going to say Disney's efforts are by far the worst- and given that they've basically killed the biggest, most profitable IP in human history, it's hard to argue.

They gave us one that was decent (though it contradicted decades of established lore), one that was middling (being essentially a less interesting rehash of A New Hope, with less logical consistency), two that were, to put it politely, dogshit, and one I didn't bother watching, since it was clear they had no idea what Star Wars was supposed to be about.

You can have a Star Wars story without lightsabers, X-wings, wookiees or Jedi; Dark Forces showed us that in 1995. Had Disney made an honest, good faith effort and failed, I'd be inclined to be merciful- hell, George Lucas himself did that with the prequels!- but I guess that was too much to ask for.

Unpopular opinion but phantom meance is the best one ever made. And yeah I have a heavy bias to clone wars and everything to do with before what I consider a really pointless thing for sidious to do.

If he just wanted to death star and blow up planets why wasn't he doing that in the first place rather than acting in the shadows pretending to be good. It originally thought and like the idea he's a narcissist who wants to control both sides and be seen as great. Not just wants to be seen as a evil dark lord who blows up planets cause why not.

And it's not as if that technology to do it didn't exist and he was just biding time because there was much more powerful tech in the past in the whole lore of star wars.

Best is hard to say. I do think its a new hope but allone it wouldn't be a good movie. All of them work because of the context they are set in. That being said the worst in my opinion is last jedi.
Yes rise of skywalker is bad but I always immagine that being better Produced and the plot as the complete trilogy and than it wouldn't be that bad. It just lacks any context. Why last jedi as worst? Because there is no context that could safe it. It tries to work things into the story that dont make sense. It lacks new things while not even coppying old good things. Also the whole movie is a mcguffin chase only for it tolbe revealed to not be a mcguffin. But there wasn't a pay off for that trickery it was a 'ha we got you' without any reveal or consequence.

Even though I don't mind watching science fiction films, and will admit that some of them are really good, I never liked 'Star Wars'. I think they're all bad, although I have heard that the ones that Disney are now making are absolutely vomit-inducing.

Empire Strikes Back is the best, but the Last Jedi might be the worst. Episode 8 and 9 are kind of a blur to me, since they weren't that great in the story.

Episode 1 and 2 does have worse dialogue, but it was original, had cool concepts, and overall kept that Star Wars feel with a great addition of new planets. Also, the fights and story was better.

Rogue One & Force Awakens are at the top of my list. Attack of the Clones, not so much. And, def lmao over all the butt-hurt because of the female lead in eps 7, 8 & 9.
