Delivery. All comics have their strengths. sometimes it take a while to develop it. I always noted kevin's facially expressions in his early work. I do think he goes a bit overboard at times. But hey he's making money so who am i to criticize.

I find his material funny. As an actor, he's been typecast to be the loud obnoxious one, which is starting to grow thin.

His social media banter with the rock is pretty funny cuz that's like what friends do

While people can be united by the sharing of humor,
I’ve set in audiences where a lot of people knew of
the performer but there was a disconnect because
they couldn’t understand the words being used or
catch onto the punchline with inner city meanings.

Now days, everything is scrutinized and put under
a microscope of sensitivity to be deemed offensive
or not offensive. It’s like referencing something done
in blackface, where I’ve witnessed non Afro Americans
laugh when in hindsight, it wasn’t funny to a particular
crowd in attendance. This goes both ways and unfortunately
a lot of Kevin Hart’s new fans don’t get certain things that
his core base fans, that’s been supporting him since the
Soul Plane movie days understand. It’s not just based
upon racial lines but economic lines also.

So, the more diverse a individual is culturally, the more
they can enjoy the humor of Kevin Hart. If one can’t
connect, then how can they find the humor in a joke?
