These wouldve been my choices for casting. Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto did great in Slumdog Millionaire and i wouldve loved to see them perform again together. They had chemistry back then but they also dated irl. Theyre now exes and so I don't know if they want to be Jasmine and Aladdin. Avan Jogia is gorgeous and i mean he has aladdin written all over him. I never really watched Victorious so I don't know how his acting is. I loved the acting of Raymond Ablack in Degrassi as Sav Bhendari and he has the innocence that Aladdin needs. he's also really goofy. Nicole Scherzinger isn't MIDDLE eastern but she can sing and dance and looks the part. It wouldn't be the first time hollywood made one ethncity look like another. Priyanka is a great actress but she'd be my last pic. I know Freida can dance but im not sure if her pronounciation and singing qualifies. Either way i wouldve preferred one of these. As for the people already cast, the girl from Power Rangers was ok at acting but doesn't look like a Jasmine. The guy playing Aladdin looks like an Aladdin but I don't know anything about him. he's cute but not as cute as he shouldve been. #FeelFreeToList

None of these Choices are Middle Eastern.. They are all Indian.. XD.. But then again Aladdin is originally a Chinese folktale put into an Arabic collection of stories so really.. Dev Patel is a good actor and actually looks the closest to how Aladdin would look in real life.. He's got the brown skin, thick eye browns, slim figure, and nice hair when it gets long.. Plus witout the beard he still looks pretty boy-ish.. As for Jasmine.. I feel like a younger, non surgically enhanced Priyanka Chopra would have but good.. Or course Frieda Pinto's pretty a$$...
I meant to add that what I said about none of them bein Arabic really don't matter since originally Aladdin was "Asian" anyways.. XD.. So the material is free reign.. And but still what?
And I just realized the girl from the Power Rangers movie is Princess Jasmine.. LOL.. I thought she was only "White" but apparently she can get pretty golden.. She's not bad lookin just who I would picture as Jasmine.. And Aladdin... Well... No.. LOL..
I coached Nicole's cousin on a fast pitch softball team. She has a lot of Family in Louisville , KY area. Her cousin was a good player , hustled all the time , like a female Pete Rose.
Her cousin moved to Hawaii , where they have family on Mom's side. She is a marine biologist working at one of the sea worlds. I think she is with Dolphins or Killer Whales.
