Movies bore me. tv bores me. does anyone feel the same way?

i feel like i'm being forced to socialize more because of my boredom from reality tv. sure i read books but it's not the same. how do you feel?

Yeah same... I just party up with friends and play online multiplayer games. You get to socialize, it’s interactive, and you never have the same exact experiences.

With TV and movies, you watch something one time and that’s it. You know what happens, and that’s what it is... it doesn’t change and you had no impact on the outcome. 😴 lol

All of them? I'm finding I'm disappointed with most TV shows and films the older I get to the point of sometimes preferring to watch old ones I've seen before over new ones. I still enjoy some here and there though, including a new one every now and then.

I definitely don't like reality TV very much at all though. I tend to like ones with characters that are very interesting to me. I liked Game of Thrones a lot until the last season or two, for example.

One thing I'm finding more and more with age though, although it was always there, is that I really don't enjoy TV shows or films if I can't really engage with the characters. Epic action scenes and such don't interest me unless they drill down to some characters I care about who genuinely seem to be at a high risk of dying (this tends to exclude most superhero type of films as well as even ones like Lord of the Rings because certain characters seemed like borderline superheroes there with thick plot armor). It's like with Mad Max: Fury Road, I think I might have enjoyed that as a teen for its action spectacle but I didn't like it when I watched it in the theater since I couldn't engage so much with the characters -- it was like "too much action and too little character development" for my tastes.
