Why are YouTube Influencers so problematic?

People like Jefferee Star who can use their popularity and their money to blackmail people if they say anything against them.
One recently that had surfaced was Shane Dawson who made a lot of skits and "Jokes" about child molesting and racial humour with use of blackface.
He had gotten away with this for 10 years and made the audience feel this style of "humour" was fine.

However people like this when it comes down to cancel culture are never truly cancel due to the amount of die-hard followers that will defend them to the very end.

Why is that certain people like themselves always seem to get away it?

Most YouTubers are extremely narcissistic and desperate for fame and money and don't care what they have to do to get it. They believe from the start of there YouTube career but what they are putting out is something everyone ls gonna love because it's from them and usually when or if they become popular it just builds their ego even more and they are constantly pushing boundaries to the point it goes to far and they completely detached from reality of there consequences because it's online and not in the real world.

In shanes situations, i stopped watching his videos years ago i thought it was vulgar and unnecessary smut at every chance he could get that actually wasn't funny. I think Shane hasn't changed from his past and only just started to become more careful and awear with what he puts out now by rebranding himself as a documentary maker, hoping people would forget the things hed done and said in the past.

They start to get there self mixed up with all different things and are so used to people kissing there ass they put there self on a pedestal and actually think they are at the same respect and power level as a real celebrity with actual talent and think thet can get away with the same stuff they do to just because their YouTube famous.

But yeah, I was thinking about YouTube as well this past week. Yuck, it’s not the same as it was 2011-2013. In those years it was more motivational of skin care, exercising, healthy eating and good lifestyle. But, then all that died with LGBT rights, transitioning, and heavy makeup. Sorta, like change and hide your body. Not make it better, as before in 2013.

Cause in 2011-2013 those fitness/healthy influencers were about changing yourself inside and out, including mentally in a positive way.

That now, as I look at YouTube trending: is nothing political, gay drama, racism and more drama. EWWW, GET THAT NEGATIVE ENERGY AWAY FROM ME.

I’m still subscribed to those old influencers and watching old videos that did help me and motivate me. And they only have 12,000 😕 subscribers, compared to millions on the toxic influencers. It’s sad.

Youtubers as a whole aren’t the problem. It’s people like Star who is the problem who seems to let their fame corrupt them. Pewdiepie, one of the first to hit 100M subs doesn’t even act like this and genuinely cares about his fans as well as admits when he slips up and many people obviously respect him for that. I wouldn’t ever let Star be the face of YouTube. As far as YouTube being really trigger happy with the ban hammer lately and I am slowly witnessing my favorite channels being Thanosed from the site who don’t deserve it, I’m shocked Star hasn’t been wiped yet.

Like for example Jenna Marbles had taken accountability for actions as what she did in past was wrong, however you can tell she was genuine.
People like the ones I mentioned should volunteer to leave; not ones like herself.

Money, that what protects them. Its what makes the world go around. Also having a large blinded fan base to defend and support them is probably another reason too.

Evil protects itself, not to mention you can hide lots of things when you pay people off. When most people get famous or rich it goes to their head and they think their above everyone else.

I use to watch some of their videos but yeah, lots of what they say are coming to light. I'm not trying to be one of those people like eat the rich. But yeah I'm jealous on the money part but that's it. And what I've seen they have very disgusting personalities hiding off and on the screen.

Well all the drama really started because of jealousy. Jeffree and Shane were once the biggest youtubers and James grew really fast so they were looking for a way to take him down I feel like.

But this isn't the only drama of course. I feel like we all mistakes but when youtubers make a mistake everything gets shown online and get more criticism because of it.

Also a lot of youtubers have fans that will always stay with them. They maybe have watched them so much they almost feel like they know them or they stay just because of content.

I still follow Tati, James and Jeffree just because I like their content and I don't care too much about their drama. It doesn't influence my opinion about the quality of their video's.

I thought it was a little weird. But it was a long time ago and he even made an apology video. And I'm not sure but I think the original videos was already removed.

I genuinely don't believe that Shane is a pedophile. I think they were just very insensitive jokes taken too far.
I think people are just in it for the drama at this point, otherwise he would have lost a lot more subscribers. I'm not defending him, I'm just getting tired of the drama. If you hate him so much, why not just unsubscribe and stop commenting on his social media? That would cancel him.
