Why is YouTube taking the piss with adverts?

12 sets of adverts so far in an 8 minute video. It is literally unwatchable.

You could always purchase YouTube premium, but I’d wager it is quite unnecessary and a waste of money. I don’t watch long videos on YouTube anyway. You could try downloading an adblocker. 12 sets of adverts for an 8 minute video seems a tad excessive.

Makes sense. I did not purchase premium either. Just huge corporations trying to milk money out of us and preying on users’ annoyance.

It's alright on the laptop as you can download and blocker and YouTube works fine but on your phone I've tried a couple and it doesn't work as I tend to use the app. I do find tho that the my mixes or playlists have less videos overall and you might get 3 in a row without ads, but not always lucky.

The ad blocks I've tried don't work. I get they need to make revenue but they're making the user experience an absolute misery.

That's odd I've downloaded one on all my pcs and it's always worked - just YouTube though other sites tend to mess up. I also tend to listen to stuff on repeat and then focus on work if you put a loop on the song other than the initial first two ads you don't have any ads after that, so that might help you if you like listening on repeat.
