What can you say about the song Chemz by Burial? Would you consider it a catchy love song of sort?

My special guy loves that new song, but I'm not so much into that type of music, although I listened to it several times and I'm actually starting to like it.

What can you say about the song? Is it just a party song in your opinion, or can it be considered a catchy love song because of its lyrics?

I’ve been listening to it too actually! It took me a listen or two to figure it out, but it’s a nice track... I was like, “Is this a really drawn out single? Is it more of an EP? ... I guess it’s both?” 🤷‍♂️😂

Burial is regarded as a front-runner in the U. K. Garage/electro scene... so yes, stylistically, a very “underground rave/party” type of sound. Lyrically, sure, I guess it’s a blissful sort of feeling it’s conveying... This type of music can take a few listens, but it grows on you.

The thing about it... it’s more of a vibe. It really creates and captures an atmosphere and a feeling... it just feels like you’re at a dark, hazy, grimy warehouse party or something. It’s pretty insane, super visual... reminds me a lot of old video games I used to play too... some late 90’s/early 2000’s sci-fi racing games lol.

I love driving around at night to music like this... it’s perfect. Another couple tracks I’d recommend are “Honey” and “Feel the Same” by salute. Similar but different... maybe a tad easier on the ears.
