Should the characters be removed or redesigned, or should they just be portrayed differently?

With the new space jam movie coming out and the idea of sexualized characters being talked about, should the characters be removed or redesigned, or should they just be portrayed differently. Animaniacs brought it up too. Personally i think the designs themselves are not sexual but how the characters are portrayed through action and personality. Minerva mink from animaniacs i never considered sexualized because she was always portrayed as a strong attractive woman who was tired of men looking at & treating her as a sex object and she stood up for her self. Personally i think the idea of a female that is drawn as attractive is considered "sexualized", when the issue is how they are portrayed is the sexualized part. It gives the impression "if you're attractive, you sexualize yourself"

It shouldn't be changing them at all. If people are looking at cartoon characters and thinking sexual things about them, then maybe there's something wrong with them and they're the ones that need to change, not the cartoons.
