Especially if the main characters are minorities, mostly dark-skinned? Would they be disturbing even if the story had original characters and no moral lesson? I don't know... seems like they call everything "woke" now.

No, it would have to actively push what would be basically ESG propaganda (to include revisionist history) to be considered "woke." Unless all of the characters were heavily sexualized and aimed at grooming children with LGBTQ crap, the demographics of characters alone does not make a story "woke."
No, creating a story without white characters is not necessary woke. There are a lot of anime series without white characters that are not woke.
They are usually Asian anime characters. Right-wingers don't care if they're all Asian, because their skin tone is the same, it is almost the same tone as white skin. . I am referring to an animation in which all the characters are black. What are the chances of being called woke even though it isn't?
If they are prejudiced, they will not say that the reason is racial prejudice, they will say that it is "woke".
Slim. Maybe a few would say that (probably leftists trying to make normal Right leaning people look bad) but normal people don't call something woke if it isn't woke.
Leftists generally support any work with black characters, whether woken or not. They don't care if it's woken or not, at most they would ask the reason for not having a trans person, a lesbian person, a gay man, an indigenous person, etc. But if the absence is white people, then leftists won't complain. Those who complain if a work does not have white characters or if white people are villains are right-wingers. By the way, nobody needs to make rightists look bad, they do it themselves without much effort. Just as Lefties don't need help looking silly, they do very well on their own.
I'm not idiot. I know several black artists who are creating their own works and there are people disturbing them. Guess who is troubling these artists who are creating original characters? They are not leftists.
Apart from that the right-wing idea of being woke lives from mental juggling, so at the end of the day, even if the reason is racism, they will say that the reason is not racial prejudice, but because it is woken.
Why ask a question if you have setteled on the answer already? Right leaning people wouldn't look bad if leftists put in so much effort to make them look bad. Your problem is sjws. And sjws are most often leftists. And sjws are very often racists. You should pander to Right leaning people.
Most people who attack even original black characters are right wing. From the way you say it, it seems that right-wingers are angels and not under any circumstances racist. I would probably be attacked by leftists if I didn't create lgbt characters etc, but not for only creating black characters. Those who would attack me for having only black characters would most likely be right-wingers.
A sincere question and I hope it's sincere: do you believe that there is no possibility of right-wingers being racist? Isn't there the possibility of right-wingers calling an animation, series, movie, woke for racist reasons and hiding in the anti-woke speech?
Of course Right leaning people can be racist, but leftists are more likely.
I'm sorry, but when you say that the right wouldn't look bad if it were leftists, it sounds like a victimist speech. Jump into any social network, especially Twitter, and it's pretty easy to see how toxic people are, both left and right.
They call anything awake even if they aren't awake. They called Woke Black Panther because the new Black Panther is female.
Not necessarily.
So why do some people attack black artists who create original black characters? Weird... it seems they call everything woke now
