No, I stopped about 30 years ago!! I listened a lot as a kid but we had great music back then! Then I found an FM station that was playing LOTS of really interesting stuff I've never heard before!! It was touted as a progressive station! Well, about 15 years later, they stopped progressing and I got sick of hearing the same 12 records played over and over again!!! Eventually, I turned the dial and found a station playing those oldies I grew up with!! It was actually a progressive oldies station in that; when my dad used to listen to it when I was a kid, they were playing big band music from the `40's!! When I re-discovered them in the late `80's, they were playing oldies from the early `60's!! Stuff I hadn't heard since I was a kid!! I LOVED IT!! About another 10 years later, they started playing the SAME 12 records I switched to them to get the hell away from!!! So, no more radio for me! My collection is at least 54,000 pieces now so, I've got SHITLOADS of stuff to listen to!! Stuff I WANT to hear!!!
I suppose that oldies station is now playing pop princess shit from the early `00's, now!
Yup. Both AM & FM.
Yes, I do. There is one particular radio show that makes me laugh on my morning commute.
The worst part is the commercial advertisement, where the volume is suddenly very loud. Surely advertisers don't think that people are more likely to buy their product if someone is yelling their sales pitch.
YouTube commercials are loud a f, too.
I prefer the radio over youtube and music apps honestly.
Well said dizzy & I’m the same.

All the time. I've more-or-less stopped watching TV.
I do watch YouTube a lot.
I do listen to SiriusXM a lot either in my car or streaming through our Alexa device.
In my car, I often listen to the local NPR station or the stations that carry STL Cardinals games.
In fact, as I type, I just finished listening on SiriusXM to the Boston Red Sox at NY Yankees game (Sox swept 3-game series). That game was on ESPN radio, but I listened to the New York feed which I can do with SiriusXM.
I live across the street from an AM radio station/antenna. But I normally don't listen to the radio much except when the internet is out. First, there are no stations in my area that have music I like. Second, almost all the talk radio programming is ludicrously fringe right wing nut jobs and conspiracy theorists. Rarely is there any real news programming on any station. you get maybe a two minute update every few hours but there is no actual half hour of news. I can't even get NPR in my area.
I was never much of a radio person back when it was the only constant source of new music, the problem with radio starions is you don't get to pick what to listen to, and no station had only stuff I liked, so to me stuff like youtube is just better.
Stations seem to loop music over & over & you arc right you don’t get to pick what you listen unless you channel surf.
yeah, plus you can't make playlists or listen to remixes or upload your own music like on youtube
I love it great to work out to, or relax to awesome 😎
Exactly & I like listening to it at work as well.
So true ✌️
Yep, we still have an old radio at my grandma's place. So good to hear her hum the tune along with it.
It’s the old radios that work the best.
Radio seems like such an anachronism of times of yore. Other than NPR and news, I'll stick to music I bought and play from my phone/computer. Its less distracting than some random song breaking my groove from the radio, or a DJ's blather.
The unfortunate truth is that we are in this position as a society because of corruption in the media business. If they had played more of the songs that people actually like and wanted to hear, then people wouldn't have turned off their radios and turned to other formats.
yes I do, at the kitchen... an essential part of my childhood and still a habit, today
Cheers to radio, I do the same.
sometimes in the car i will but i also like to drive in silence. i listen to youtube mostly
I channel surf on the radio until I find a song I like or something interesting to listen to.
and you watch American dad ;D
Yes I do listen to radio. However since they removed my favorite talk shows, I am listening less. I'm starting to listen to podcasts of the talk shows that I like, since they removed them from the local station. Now they have on these political nuts.
Haven't in a long time. The same songs over and over and the hosts are all lame now.
That does happen & I just learned to switch stations & avoid the ones that repeat the same songs over & over.
I do, but only for sports and some news on AM radio. I used to listen to a lot of FM radio for music, but the station I used to listen to changed its content, so I don't really listen to radio for music anymore. I mostly listen to classic rock and other older genres, so now I mostly get/discover my music from YouTube and another free streaming service.
I guess, additionally I'd add that I listen to sports broadcasts on the radio when I'm in the kitchen making dinner or if I'm outside on the patio, or sometimes when I'm out fishing.
We listen to it at work in the office and in my car. We love motown and classical in the office & I blast rap & R&B in the car when on my way to see clients
Dione Warwick and Lou Rawls?
I don't think I have since like, 2007 or 08. I haven't watched network television or cable TV since 2013.
I use no TV, movies, cable, satellite (all disconnected), or radio since I have permanently eliminated all forms of propaganda from my feeds.
In my car, yes although since covid I'm rarely in my car. But technically I occasionally listen to the radio.
I listen to it all the time. In my truck to and from my jobs, on job sites, while I'm in the pool and sitting by my fire pit. Music is my life. The radio keeps me from going insane. lol
I listen to our local radio stations daily. Although I generally listen to NPR and the local classical music radio station, which also has an app so I can hear my local station even when I travel. So then I can say that I also stream music too.
I listen to the radio in the bathroom. I have one just like the one in the picture in my bathroom.
@exitseven I have 1 in my bathroom
@SandandWaves 😊😊😊😊
I thought that was dangerous. Do you have one of those waterproof ones?
@Jamie05rhs It isn't next to the water
Oh, okay. Lol
@Jamie05rhs It is battery powered so even if I took it in the shower with me it would be okay.
I listen to our local radio station at weekends. So much info about what's going on.
I listen to the radio when I'm driving, and also stream music when at home.
I still do when I’m out driving in my car but if nothing is good on then I use my phone with my down loaded music
there's a radio station in Nevada City they play the best music. have them on when i'm doing my backyard gardening
Do you know what a telephone was? How you used it
?
@888theGreat like old fashion phone I don't you'll have to tell me if you remember
I do. I used one most of my life. I was right after the phones you wind up to use.
@888theGreat or put fire wood in to make them work
That was smoke signals , before my time
Yep... listening to it now
There is nothing like radio.
Right! And still listening now lol
Hardly anything played on the radio is worth hearing anymore.
Apparently, I’m in the 4% that still listens to talk radio. In my opinion, that’s the most honest news. Conservative talk radio.
Everyday, multiple time a day
Same here & mostly in the car, cheers to radio.
cheers to radio
I do. I love radio and I hope it never dies.
Same here & radio will never die however it will change & it already has.
@Static_In_The_Attic Yes, unfortunately.
Sirius in my car and Spotify on my phone. Normal FM stations don't play the music I like
It is a sad reality of this day and age. I blame ClearChannel.
Only when I'm on a long distance drive. There's way more ads on radio than in the past so you flip channels a lot.
Only in the late night runs through the Taco Bell drive through
No, my cousin bought one and she took it back when I had no interest in it so who knows maybe I'll get one who knows
I am afraid i miss those days cause I don't anymore
Yeah I still do old fashioned girl me lol
Radio is in my blood & I grew up on it & from time to time I win tickets by being the ninth caller.
I think we have a lot in common.
Everyday, house radio, shortwave, CB, Ham radio and others
I do all the time. I was not a baby raised by a computer
Maybe it has something to do with age but I do.
Yeah, in the car. Sirius XM.
A and C, but mostly C nowadays.
I'm a Luddite! VIVA LA RADIO!!!
I listen to NPR in my car.
Yeah in the car but that's about it
I never did care about radios.
Sometimes.
Same here but mostly in my car or kitchen.
only the news
@legalboxers 1010 WINS?
@Jamie05rhs of course.. and 880.
@Jamie05rhs and on a rarity. WQXR. I need classical music to calm me down.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XDB7GMnbUQ
best traveling music to me.
and this...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynEOo28lsbc (the old Delta commercial)
How about Coast To Coast Radio? I listen to the news as well & when I’m in the car music.
@Static_In_The_Attic I dont have my Sirus account anymore :(
Coast to Coast is on 710 WOR. It's free.
I love George Gershwin, by the way. He's one of the best.
Yes.
Lol whats a radio
🤣😭
In the car
Nah.
Yes when driving
NPR.
I like All Things Considered.
@Jamie05rhs and every Saturday I clean out my garage to Wait Wait. They crack me up more than snl.
"Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" is a good one as well!
A lot of radio stations do have apps already. And Alexa "skills."
I'm not really a fan of this trend, though. I prefer TuneIn and NextRadio. NextRadio uses actual real radio signals. TuneIn uses streams, but at least it mimics the concept of a real radio.
All the time when I'm driving.
i do and i love it
Only when driving
Yes I do listen to the radio.
Not at all
Nope...
