Do you find South Park funny?

I feel like South Park isn’t that funny to me I don’t know why lol but I’ll still gladly watch it with my boyfriend to me the most hilarious show ever though is the impractical jokers but my boyfriend thinks that South Park is funnier but I don’t understand lol

When they:
1) Got PC Principal and Strong Woman
and
2) Went with story arcs
that sucked.

However, SP went back away from story arcs. I don't know if we have PC Principal and Strong Woman so much anymore. I just wish they'd bring back Principal Victoria... and Pip.

South Park was one of the funniest things I saw at the time it first premiered (alien probe episode). I think it's funny. Well, I also found Beavis & Butthead funny so my sense of humor might not be particularly sophisticated. :-D

It's pretty much a perfect show. Other than the whole integrity farm... That went on for way too long and i know that was kinda the joke but that didn't make it better.
It has great understanding of Issues, how to make jokes, Be adult, while also mostly having some kinda good point through the episode. It actually has a lot of lessons that can be learnt from it.
Like the smoking episode, It shows the ones who preach for the good thing can go about it in a bad way that shouldn't be followed, such as the guy getting cartman to lie about having cancer. And this is just one example of many episodes that also teach stuff. My favorite episodes, the one that stan get's depression, stan becomes a medium while trying to show people mediums are scams, stan explaining the "F" word, stan don't want to vote. Most of my most liked episodes tend to be about stan probably cause i relate.

I remember South Park coming out, likely before you existed as your current human incarnation, back in around 1998 :P It was really big here and we had keyrings and everything..

I watched it 10 years ago and was surprised it was pretty funny. Sometimes hit and miss.

I've not watched it for 10 years and they don't seem to show it here, so I don't know what it's like these days. It seems to add some good political satire at points.

You might like some British humour.

South Park is great, it's not for everyone though. It's also misunderstood... A lot of people think it's just stupid toilet humour and swearing, but if you don't understand he characters, and you don't follow the actual story, you'll only get a narrow and poor perspective on what the show really is. It does have a lot of intelligent humour and social commentary but if you just dismiss it as a silly cartoon you will never see the bigger picture. For instance, you simply can't compare Impractical jokers with South Park, South Park has a story, has character personalities, a moral lesson, a social commentary, impractical jokers is just small unconnected pranks that don't teach you anything and don't mean anything. Not saying Impractical Jokers isn't funny -it is. And I like it a lot, but South Park has genius moments, IJ does not.

I tend to not be such a fan for cartoon & animations. I've seen some funny stuff from that show through snippets, but definitely couldn't sit and watch it. I'd feel like I was wasting my time.

Sometimes it is. South Park writes a lot of their episodes on the fly as satire, so it's highly dependent on what's going on in the world, and whether or not they can land some good humor off of it.

I'm guessing it's not your style of humor then that's all. Most of the time I do, but not every episode, some are funnier than others. But in general yes. And if you don't get the reference sometimes, then it won't be as funny either.
