Anyone try axe throwing?

There is a place that opened up in town where you can throw axes. It is apparently a new thing. I think it might be fun and maybe a skill worth having in today's world. My son had tried it and said it was fun.

@Still-alive yes I figured it was like throwing one in cod.. it's not haha but it's lighter and faster and I actually prefer throwing them.

I have organised a Viking weekend for my teams.

basically a long weekend cut off from society.

cooking our own food, no electronics, taught how to survive in wild and evade capture. Archery and also axe throwing
shit loads of alcohol lol.

I wanted swords as well but not allowed them, which is a bummer.

It's a big room and you buy a load of junk. Like old cars, tvs, dishes, just stuff. Some of them you can bring your own stuff and then you get to destroy it with whatever weapons or tools they have.

When I was a kid they had real town dumps not sanitary landfills like they have today. Sometimes we would go and bust up old TVs, Stereos, bottles, amd all kinds of stuff people would throw away.

It is an aluminum bat that had the top broken off it. It has all kinds of jagged edges that I sharpened on my bench grinder. I added a nylon lanyard and spray painted it black to match my new pickup truck. I added bike handlebar tape to the handle. I keep it handy under my front seat.

Ahhh gotcha. I used to keep something in my old truck like that too. Not that fancy, or creative, but something there if you needed it.

I kept wondering what would happen if I hit the enemy on the wrong side of the axe. Then I'm like, "Derp!" Then I'm also thinking he's like, "Derp!" Then I gotta recover from the derp faster than he does so that I can reach for another axe to throw.

Axe throwing isn't new. It has been around for decades. Most likely longer. I tried it when I was a teenager. I wasn't very good at it.
