Have you ever done axe throwing?

We did tonight. I was surprisingly good at it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Would do again. But I think I will be sore tomorrow.

I have, years ago at a Ren Faire. I even managed to silence the barker by having a throw break through the target and get stuck in the wood- handle first. I wasn't particularly good otherwise, though.

And I did, a few years later, see an axe-throwing place pop up in a strip mall not far from where I had used to live, and noticed they had a promo on Thursdays for "Ladies' Night", and laughed so hard I almost drove onto the sidewalk. A woman can of course go out and throw some axes; hell, she might be better at it than me (again, not much of a boast). But how many women out there regularly get together with their girlfriends and go throw axes? But then I thought about it some more. There may not be MANY women who do that kind of thing, but there are a few, and they're probably interesting people. Scary, maybe, and potentially dangerous, but interesting.

And hey, if you and girls are looking for something new to try, it's good to have options.

My kids went and I wanted to do it but the place closed during covid. I still want to do it. It looks like a good weapon.

The team building has this in the options and I'm voting for it. I don't know if it will actually go through, I just hope it does. If not I'm going with friends or boyfriend. I want to see if I can land one.

We fathers threw axes at a Cub Scout camp, many years ago, after our sons did that as one of their camp activities. It was an ad hoc competition to see if the sons or dads were better at throwing axes. I'm sort of embarrassed to say the kids won... easily.

I've done it before, I'm decent at it. The one near my house is also attached to a brewery so... lets just say my skills decrease as the night goes on. Good stress relief though if you can channel your anger through the axe into the target (or tape your enemy's photo to the bulls eye).
