First time Throwing. π
I have- and years ago, before axe throwing places became as common as they are today (which is a question in its own right; where did the sudden fascination come from?). I actually startled the attendant, who was really more of a carnival barker, into silence by somehow (to this day, I don't know how it happened) getting the axe lodged in the wooden backboard handle first.
Funnily enough, the first of the new wave of axe throwing places I saw was one that advertised Thursdays as "Ladies' Night". You know, get together with your girlfriends and go out to throw axes. Thinking about it later, I realized that the kind of woman who does recreational axe throwing is probably an interesting person (possibly a scary one, but most likely interesting), but at the time, I laughed so hard I almost drove onto the curb.

I've never tried but it always fascinated me along with throwing javelins since I've always been really interested in ancient warfare.
Something I've always wondered with throwing axes is how difficult it is to throw in a way that the blade actually hits the target and not the shaft.
I tried axe throwing years ago. I sucked at it.

My kids tried it a few times. I thought it sounded cool. I sort of was intrigued with the tactical tomahawk and thought that maybe i would set up something in my backyard to practice. There was a place in town that opened ut it closed during covid and never reopened.
Yes quite a few times, heβs got a small chopper though
Yup. Did that a few times. Just be careful. They can bounce back at you.
