3D was very innovative for its time, but 2D is a craft that I'm afraid is being lost rapidly everywhere except in Japan and Korea.
The magic of 3D was kind of ruined when I saw some documentary or "Making of" of Frozen, where the crew behind it mentioned that they could re-shoot Let It Go at any angle, and the thought occurred to me that 3D is going to be the vector of soulless mass-produced schlock. Kids cartoons already look bland and samey to me. What's that one cartoon about three kid superheroes, one wears a red costume, one's green and one's blue and they all look identical except one's slightly taller and thinner than the rest, and one's shorter and fatter? It makes my skin crawl every time I see it.
I honestly don't know what superhero cartoon you are referring of.
Animation sucks today because its all about making it too pretty, there is some weird beauty in old animation art styles.
@disgustingweebtrash Sometimes you need a little jank, otherwise things look too good.
3D Animation looks the best and Toy Story is one of my favourite movies
Yes Toy Story is truly is a beautiful movie to watch.

Coming from a Communication and Graphics background from before computers, I can appreciate and like each style for what it is. My older daughter even did a "stop-action" on our hearth for a school project and continued adding on to it just for the heck of it. Did a darn good job for a first shot, too. In 2D, we also have different speeds, too. Rocky and Bullwinkle, H&B run about 4-6 (frames per second) fps, while WB, etc. regular speed animation is 24 fps. If the concept of the cartoon/short/feature/movie is sound, the animation modality can vary. Then there is also hybrid, live action/animated (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, etc), but save that for another day! :-)
Ah that's a tough one, I mean the modern 3D stuff is great but I was brought up on 2D and that has a certain nostalgia for me. I'm going to have to go with 2D.
You can't go wrong with traditional 2d, especially considering all the art styles people can think of with 2D animation.
Option A. I also liked the animation in corpse bride, I guess that's stop motion from what I see here
What is corpse bride?
A Tim Burton film. It stars Johnny Depp as the main character's voice actor. It's about a guy that accidently gets married to a corpse
Oh cool
Who doesn't love Toy Story animation.
God i hope they make one more film, like a Toy Story 5. Or retitled as A Toy's Story.
Aww's. ☮️☮️☮️😂😂😂
Or change punctuation to A Toy's, Story. 😋😋😋🤪
Ralph Bakshi, Heavy Metal
I loved Wallace & Gromit, and chicken run! I think Stop motion animation is a lot more impressive than other techniques of animation.
Stop motion is so relaxing
It definitely is
I love stop-motion animation as it's very equivalent to 3D animation, but with more talent and effort involved. It;s really hard to make AND ENTIRE MOVIE out of stop-motion.
Love the 2d.
But 3d is also great.
I'm pretty sure A is a 3d drawing
I would say 3D
I love watching 3D films, Pixar is my most favorite animation studio.
3D is cool, but prefer 2D.
