I watched it for the first time a couple of years ago in Chicago. I rented it in a hotel room, with a good view overlooking all the lights in the city.

Can't say I cried at the ending, but it is a landmark in filmmaking; and watching it, and then rewinding it to listen to the music as I looked outside my hotel room window, was unforgettable for me.

I only saw The Kid. And sure, it was touching but the ancient goofiness of it all made it hard to get emotional. Plus I knew the kid was gonna grow up to be Uncle Fester.
