Do any of you ever watch Letterkenny?

No, but I used to have Canadian friends that would constantly reference that show. One of them was my bartender, this blonde woman in her mid 20s, and she seemed to be a huge fan of that show and would reference it so much, I had to look it up. It seems like the redneck version of Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and I didn't even KNOW Canada had "Southern (US) style rural rednecks" up there! That kinda blew my mind, because it's cold in Canada! How do they have farmer rednecks? Anyway, if I was a Canadian redneck, I'd probably enjoy it, though.
Yeah believe it or not there are "Rednecks" here in Canada too.
It isn't exactly the same as the United States, we don't talk with a southern accent or anything.
It's just the farmers mostly who do wear Wrangler jeans and boots, (My dad was like that).
Blue collar working class, but yeah that style isn't just in the southern United States it's more of a rural, farmer thing.
Bro, Iāve been on Letterkenny since like 2017, Iām so stoked itās finally blown up. Saw the Letterkenny Live show on Broadway three years ago, and Iām seeing another one here in Boston (now itās in April, itās been moved like four times). One of my favorite shows of all time. Canāt wait for the Shoresy spin-off! Even have my own jersey, haha

Nice, I'm glad to see that the show is getting viewers from south of the border.
It's a weird show, but also very entertaining and those guys definitely remind me of the people I grew up around in Alberta. They're an exaggerated version, but there were plenty of Waynes around here. I
I grew up in a small town like that. Lots of hockey players, farm boys, Natives and a few city kids wearing weird clothes listening to techno music in their cars. LoL!
There's some truth to Letterkenny. š
Yeah, a friend of mine posted a video clip of the āhow to cook a steakā argument a while back, I donāt think he even knew what it was from, heās just a steak enthusiast lmao. Anyway, the rapid banter hooked me, and I was like āthese guys strike me as Canadianā, and then the āberta beef stuff lent additional credibility to the idea. So I just googled some of the dialogue and was able to watch the first couple seasons ripped on dailymotion, because I couldnāt get Crave in the states. I was immediately hooked. I love hockey, I love fights, I love witty banterā¦perfect show for me, once I got my ear trained to decipher everything that was being said. Damn city kidsā¦āfugazi diamonds in both ears and leprechaun buckles on his shoes. Heās runninā a fuckinā dippity-doo convention upstairs for a salad, and heās ridinā around in ā94 Jeep YJ with a wave decal on the side and enough cologne to offend a Bangkok ladyboy.āš
LoL! Yeah that Jared Keeso who plays Wayne is quite a good writer/actor for that series.
I think he was maybe from Alberta because his swagger seems familiar when I watch it.
There were definitely farmers and oilfield workers around here that would say stuff like "Pitter patter, let's get at 'er, or pull your finger out of your ass!" I worked and drank with a lot of country guys like that. I remember we would be driving back from a job in the oilfield and there was this guy just like Wayne. We would drop him off at the highway and he would run a few miles down a country road in the middle of winter because he was conditioning himself to compete in the Rodeo. LoL!
There was tough guys around here like that when I was a teenager. I am looking forward to seeing Shorsey and the next season of Letterkenny, those shows are something different anyway. š
Thatās awesome. Love to hear that it has some authenticityš
